It’s a New Year Miracle!

It’s xmas eve everyone and a lot of you will be in a rush to get those last minute presents. I’m kind of disappointed that I’m all set, going into the city on xmas eve with thousands of others wrestling gifts out of other peoples hands takes a lot of sweat and tears….great workout :-)

Anyway, got lots to crack on with before I travel off to see my family. I’ll have my own series of workouts for the next 5 days playing with my nephew and nieces (stay strong Mike, you gotta want it!) and can’t wait to get started.

Today is just a quick message and is a timely reminder for the New Year. A friend and colleague of mine Rocco Castellano released a video blog today about some of the scams that you see on the internet and in particular a popular one at the moment to do with Acai Berry cleanse.

Now I’ll be totally honest and say that I know very little about acai berry but what I can say is that like many other scams it is a advertising program that is claiming that by eating one fruit and not following an exercise program and eating what you want that you can lose weight!

Things to watch out for in these scams

  • Usually, if something sounds too good to be true, it is
  • They are usually advertised in the form of a blog by someone who has no expertise in the area
  • They are normally in the form of a blog with the persons first name followed by weight loss. My blog actually got a comment from one asking me to visit their site but I don’t want to advertise scams!

The rest of it is explained by Rocco but my message to you is to not get suckered in by these infomercial type blogs giving away free trials. It sounds great but if you’ve ever read my blog, or that of another experts or read a good book or seen some TV program then you’ll know that it’ a little more complicated than popping berries. Whether the individual food is good or not, the point is that the advert itself is a lie.

as Rocco includes a comment made on his blog that makes no sense whatsoever. On being his usual to the point self and really slagging off this program, he got the same comment back that I did that is obviously programmed to look for fitness professional blogs and try and put their links onto our sites because they get read. What made me really laugh is that her comments compliment his post when he is ripping it out of the program that she is advertising. Good work!

Thank god for having to pre-approve comments!

Have a great xmas and speak to you soon.

Mike
