Metabolism when describing our physiology means the amount of calories that our body needs to maintain it’s current state when at rest. Therefore, the higher your metabolism is, then the more calories (or units of energy) you are burning and the less fat that you will carry on your body. Your metabolism slows down when

•    Your levels of activity are low; you lead an inactive lifestyle
•    Your choice of activities to promote weight loss are poor, leading to inefficient fat loss if at all
•    Your eating choices are poor
•    Your eating patterns are poor
•    Your recovery after activity is poor

The M.A.G.I.C. system is all about increasing your metabolism by choosing exercises and systems that create a metabolic disturbance inside your body.

The Metabolic Conditioning Program utilises all the muscles in the body and can be very short when time is limited and ensure that you are burning the fat hours after you have stopped activity. You will also feel functionally stronger with the ability to undertake other activities outside exercise becoming much easier.

No fancy, bulky equipment is necessary to perform metabolic conditioning with great results being experienced from the hundreds of bodyweight exercises and routines that we have designed.

When equipment is used to provide another stimulus, we only use tools that have been tried and tested successfully and actually used in our own training methods so it is out with gym based machines and in with favourites like kettlebells, sandbags, dumbells, resistance bands and suspension training to create the best result in the training time you have and improve your speed of fat loss over the duration of your regime with greater improvements in fitness.

Did you also know that what you eat and when you eat also affects your metabolism! A nutrition plan forms a huge part of the M.A.G.I.C. system by

•    Eliminating foods that are preventing you from burning calories by ways of your body fat stores
•    Introducing pro-fat burning foods
•    Making better choices and eliminating sugar fuelled cravings
•    Timing your nutritional intake
•    Not using extreme diets or calorie counting

The next part of the M.A.G.I.C. system describes our assessment procedures that ensure that you are getting off to the best start and always making inroads into your journey rather than training for training sake.
