About Michael Bach, Personal Training in Manchester and Cheshire
Hi, my name is Michael Bach and I am the owner of The Body Planner, a leading Personal Training and Sports Therapy Company based in South Manchester and covering the surrounding areas.
My principles are built on my own personal beliefs in exercise and nutrition and knowing what works and more importantly what does not work. What I preach is pretty much what I also do in my own exercise and life. I’d be a bit of a hypocrite if I then decided I couldn’t find the time or found it too hard!
My interest and passion in exercise, nutrition and other lifestyle factors is threefold, to Look, Feel and Perform Better.
We all want to look good or at least look better, there is always something that we would like to improve upon. Sometimes this is the greatest motivator of all. Of course we recognise health benefits but a big part of feeling good about yourself is being happy with your physical appearance. Does that mean men should have the figures of gladiators or sprinters and women have bodies like TV lifeguards or fitness models…Can be for some but doesn’t have to be like that at all. For me, you want to be happy with your own image first and a lot of the time that starts with having a lean, firm figure that makes you feel good about yourself and lets be honest feel a bit more sexy, in your clothing or otherwise! Striving to improve and having that role model to aspire towards adds extra fuel to the pursuit!
On top of that, getting compliments about how you look – fit, healthy etc are great self-esteem boosters as well, aren’t they?
To Feel Better, I mean by your internal health and well-being. Wellness is a phrase that is getting used a lot in my industry right now in connection to industry and corporate organisations with a reference to employers looking after their people. In doing so sickness has been reduced, motivation and productivity improved.
That is what I want to do for my audience whether it's my personal clients or local companies and in doing so help you be more pro-active towards your personal health rather than waiting for something to happen that sets the alarm bells off.
It's a fact that losing excess weight and improving fitness will reverse or offset some health conditions but why wait till then? Why not prevent it in the first place?
And to Perform Better is about making you fitter and stronger for your life and what it includes; your occupational living, your family and your induced physical activity whether it be for your own benefits or be sports related.
A lot of the principles that I use with my clients are just the same as what I use for my own training methods. Like a lot of you, I am extremely busy and always busted for time and in a rush. I want my own workouts to be quick and adaptable to my own hectic lifestyle of juggling a business with home etc yet is productive and I get out of it what I intended and get a result at the end of it all.
I do not like my time being wasted by ineffective workouts, expensive bits of equipment that have no benefit and memberships that offer no support after the sale!
I firmly believe that having a healthy body and mind are paramount to the quality and success from my life and making these workouts happen and living a balanced lifestyle enable me to do this. Whatever I do, I want to perform at my best and being physically active, fit and strong enable me to do these things.
A major part of this is to go for excellence in everything I do. What do I mean by this? To exceed and surpass those expectations held by yourself!
